Food & FunFair

Food & FunFair
Date ~ 17 May 2008 Saturday
Time ~ 10am to 4pm
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the first time we held a Food & FunFair in the school compound. Family, friends and parents were especially supportive. The turnout was extremely overwhelming and everybody had an enjoyable time while doing their bit.
A BIG 'Thank You' to all who have contributed in one way or another.
Lelong, Lelong..... 'mee siam', 'kuih pie tee' , 'vadais'!
Free balloons! Anyone?
Some of the food sold at the funfair ~
Candy floss, Candy floss. Who wouldn't be tempted by it?
Mmmm.... I like it, I like it!
Urmm..... I wonder how it will taste!
Oh No! Should I take it???
I don't know about you, but I sure love the sharkfin soup. Yum yum :)
By about 2.30pm, everybody were already 'dead tired' and we started to 'lelong' our food away.
We helped to clean-up the school premise and the classrooms. It was my first time washing and scrubbing the carpark...... Anyway, by the time I reached home, it was already 7.30pm.
It was a tiring day and my legs felt like they were going to break anytime! Ouch...
I have to rest for the whole of sunday to recuperate.
Ha......Well, is my age catching up???!!!!!! Nah......zzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Mum, Mom, Ma, Mi, Mummy, Mother
This Sunday, May 11th is Mothers' Day: A day set aside for us to thank the women who brought us into the world. Everyone has different relationships with their mothers. Some of us are lucky to have close friendships with mum, while others may not even know who their real mum is. Then of course, some of us have special women in our lives that may not technically be a mother to us, but who have treated us like their own children.
So on this day, I would like to thank my mum for all she has done for me and my family ~ Happy Mother's Day Mum! ~
These are some quotes to mull over:
Thank you children for such lovely gifts!
~ I Love You All ~
