Escargots

Yum, yum.... my favourite appetizer..... escargots with garlic and butter sauce.
It is also one of the most famous dishes in French cuisine.

The word Escargots is a generic term for edible snails.
It is typically served as an appetizer and not a meal.

The most common preparation for escargot is boiling or steaming, and the snails are often served in the shell on a special escargot plate, which has small depressions for each shell.
This is the children's first experience with escargots.

The daddy taught the children how to use the tongs to extract the flesh from the shell, along with small two-tined snail forks, and then dip the snail into the garlic and butter sauce provided. It took the children awhile to handle the tongs properly and it seemed like they are operating on something. And I worried the snail will fly off the plate any moment too.

Sean ate the escargots...... and his comment was....... ok ok but not his fav.

I guess she doesn't like it very much either.

Spring Cleaning

Spring cleaning...... I hate it!
No matter how much I've cleaned and packed the house, it seems endless!
This year, I decided to start throwing and giving away things.
The first thing I did was to get rid of the children's books.......


Then the children's CDs........



I've thrown and given away many toys but I'm still left with a wardrobe of toys not packed yet. Then I closed the wardrobe doors and decided to KIV it! =.="

New Year!

Hello 2009! ~


Spent my countdown moments watching the countdown variety on
TV...... boring??!! Not really. Actually kinda like the quiet nite staying at home doing nothing. Well, year 2008 has just flew passed me and here is year 2009.
Hope this is a good year for everyone!
Time to reflect?! To make resolutions?!
Anyway doesn't seem to be able to keep to my resolutions....Haiz!
