Canopy Walk ~ HortPark

Sean's gathering with his ex-classmate was cancelled..... So as not to waste the day away, we planned to explore part of the southern ridges of singapore ~ the Canopy Walk, the newly opened HortPark and the Alexandra Arch across Alexandra Road.

The Canopy Walk is located at the end of Pepys Road near the Reflections At Bukit Chandu (Heritage Museum) @ Kent Ridge Park.

Reflections At Bukit Chandu (Heritage Museum)

We head through the property of the heritage museum to the starting point of The Canopy Walk that consists of a raised wooden walkway. It stretches 300 metres through a secondary forest and is elevated 16 metres above ground.

While walking on the wooden walkway, we were able to see the breathtaking views of Telok Blangah area and the lush greenery.

After the wooden walkway, we were faced with a decending sloping pathway. Being lazy, we sidestepped across the winding path, under the scorching hot sun towards the HortPark. o.O

The HortPark is Southeast Asia’s first one-stop centre for gardening-related recreational, educational, research and retail activities in a park setting. Some park highlights include attractive themed gardens as well as outdoor display plots showcasing designs and ideas for home gardening. These are some of the pictures taken while we were there.

The hike back to our car was tiring cause we were going up slope.

Finally when we reached the top, we took a 'break' outside the heritage museum.

& the 2 boys were up to something again........

Nope?!!!!!!!!!!

Haha! This time............. slippers snatching! o.O

After the exploration, we went to Vivo City for some ice cold desserts and later had our dinner there too.

These were pictures taken outside Vivo City.......

Next time we will try to explore the other part of the Southern Ridges' Scenic spots! tata...
