Stroke

Today my dad had a Stroke. We quickily rushed him to the hopital and he was admitted immediately. After a number of scans and checks, the doctor told us the attack has already affected his right brain especially the cognitive part.

He's very weak and tired and his BP (blood pressure) has gone up to almost 200. He slurred when he speaks and it has also affected his left side of his body movement. It really break my heart to see him like this especially when he lost memories of the family members names.

What's a Stroke?

A sudden loss of brain function caused by a blockage or rupture of a blood vessel to the brain, characterized by loss of muscular control, diminution or loss of sensation or consciousness, dizziness, slurred speech, or other symptoms that vary with the extent and severity of the damage to the brain. Also called cerebral accident , cerebrovascular accident .
